It might be too late but when I bought my mini I told all my neighbors that I would of course at all times respect their privacy and property, we live in a rural area probably not unlike yours. They all were very supportive and glad to know what I was doing with my drone.
I am a new pilot of a mavic mini who lives in paradise. I am just learning and practicing for doing some waterfall hunts in the area, particularly up hwy 70 and hwy 32.
We have a worm farm with a really pretty pond and grounds. I asked permission of the owner and after explaining that I wanted to because it was beautiful he said sure (he had never heard of such a thing. I even gave him a disk with the pictures I took and he was very happy.
